What is the difference between a true radius arch and an elliptical arch?
A:
A true radius arch is an arch with a consistent radius/curve. A true radius arch can be made by taking the measurements at the base of the arch and the rise at the highest point (center of the baseline).
An elliptical arch has no consistent radius. The only way to have an elliptical arch made is to make a pattern of the opening the arch will be applied to.
